You Guys Must Really Pray!

Well... you must have prayed “good” because we saw answers to prayer!!! =)  THANK YOU!!!

My head feels like it has been spinning all week... and we haven’t even started the fair yet!!!  I told you that the managers gave us a spot in an outdoor area specifically for artisans...  it is very tiny – only 1 meter by 1 ½ meters... and its outside... but it’s a spot!

THEN... on Tuesday we got a call from the organizers of the free pavilion – the two secretaries there like us =) and insisted that “El Jordán couldn’t be left out”...  We had been given a spot...

Update On "Oh Dear..." Requests

There might be people who think baking cookies isn’t high on the “service to God” list...

I do...

God can use ANY ability, skill, gift that we might have – for His glory – and to be a blessing to others...  Including – baking cookies...  (Consider our body... we don’t think about eyebrows or nose hairs very often... but they serve an important service...) Oh Dear...Dear...Dear

Well... the many things I want to still share with you will once again be put on the back burner because I would like to ask you to PLEASE  pray for two things from El Jordan:

Her teacher told her she was just being lazy (she doesn’t do very well at all in school... she has such a difficult time with retention... I celebrated with her the other day because she got a 40 (36 is between passing and failing)... she usually gets 20s...)  Anyhow... her mom washes clothes for other people and her step-father drives a tractor for someone – but it is broken down right now... so they finally got enough money together to take her to the doctor yesterday... and we paid for the blood tests and medicines...  Her blood test came back today with the white blood count really high... and we were sent to get an ultrasound... back to another doctor... She already had her appendix out two years ago so we knew it wasn’t that...

Just a Bit Sad...

They say no one was really sad... even her own family didn’t even try to pretend they were grief stricken...  Not many people went to her wake (In Bolivia, the burial has to take place within 24 hours, so family and friends “accompany” the body for that period of time...)  I didn’t even find out about her death until several days later...
