Well... I wanted to wait a bit before sending this letter... but Marco has a letter written and ready to go.. and I’d like this one to go first.. =) ...so you’ll be getting two letters from us tonight!
What do a green lemon, a pair of jeans and our fifth wedding anniversary have to do with each other???
Well... read on...
A while back, for the first time in YEARS, I actually went out and bought a brand new pair of jeans... I got tired of my old jeans... and clothes that didn’t really fit very well... and so when I bought Marco a couple pair of new jeans for his birthday, I bought myself a pair too...
April 11th... I can hardly believe that it is going to be 5 years since we got married... wow... so many things have happened... I still have a hard time believing sometimes that I’m married... and have a little two year old!!!
A green lemon... here in Bolivia the green lemons make the best lemonade... you chop them up, put them in the blender and in a few seconds you have a great pitcher of lemonade...
How do the three things relate? Well... a few short months after splurging on my new jeans I found out that they aren’t going to fit for very long... Our new little one is due on April 11th, 2012... and according to the internet, this week is the size of a green lemon!!!
I haven’t had morning sickness at all... Marco is the one who has the cravings! ...but when we got an ultrasound this past Thursday my doctor noticed a small tear (somewhere!) which, if it isn’t taken care of... and it doesn’t close up, could be the start of a complication causing miscarriage... SO.... my doctor has asked me to be on bed rest for two weeks... and hopefully it will heal up so I can have an uneventful rest of the pregnancy.... Its very hard for me to be inactive – when I feel sick – let alone when I feel fine... so you can be praying for me in the next two weeks... and for our little lemon too...
We announced it in our volunteers’ meeting on Thursday and chapel last night so people at El Jordan could understand why I won’t be around for a bit...
We appreciate your prayers...
lots of love, Corina (for Marco... Keiden... and our tiny one...)
