It's Finally Here
Finally its here!! This update has been sitting here waiting to be sent for a bit now. Activities, travels, conferences, visitors and daily life have kept us busy and emails delayed, but not forgotten. Thank you so very much for your patience!!
The House That God Built
Rosi’s house was finished in September… and even with time passing I don’t think it has all set in… Rosi tears easily when thinking of what God did in her and her families life in the months before… she asks constantly that we would pray that they never become complacent or forgetful of what God has done for them… Rosi’s prayers and desires is that this new home would be the first stepping stone to a future for her girls… God provided so many “extras” along the way… a family from a Christian school bought Rosi a stove, when they heard she was cooking over campfire, food and living supplies have come in, time and time again when her cupboards were bare… clothes, paint, plants, gardeners and more have come when needed… donations to cover the cost for electricity and water plumbed to the house and even a fridge was given, a dream that brought Rosi to her knees when she showed up at her home one afternoon to see it being unloaded into her house!... Rosi’s story is a testament to us of the power of prayer, family (God’s), the faith of a mustard seed and what can happen when you trust in God as your provider, father and comfort…
The End of an Era, the Beginning of a New One!
The sun setting over Rosi’s little house, reminds us, as one chapter ends, new beginnings are becoming… Thank you for being apart of this family’s life and allowing God to use you in their lives… Rosi’s daughters proudly show off the “family tree”, telling others “this is our family, the ones who stepped in when we had no other”… Thank you for standing in the gap for this family, when no one else would… this is forever engrained in their hearts!
P.S. please remember to pray for us this week, as we cook our Christmas meal for those on the streets and for our families!! We are making changes this Christmas season, but are still cooking and sharing Jesus with those normally forgotten!
