El Jordan

Rosali is one of our single moms, raising 4 daughters (Isamara(17), Tamara (14), Lizandra (11), and Luciana (2))… She works hard and is learning so much about what it is to live a life honoring to God… In the past, Rosi would go to men seeking comfort, help, love and anything else she felt needing in her life… but after 4 daughters and years of feeling used/discarded she is learning that God is her heavenly father who hears all and the great God of comfort… trusting in Jesus, knowing His promises are the only things that are true in life…

Her House

This past spring, Rosi entered into a government housing program where 80% of material to build would be supplied by the government, you put in the remaining 20% plus labor with the end result of you having a home to live once finished… Rosi went to all the meetings, did the paperwork and was approved, excited to have a secure brick home to live in with her girls (the wooden room at the top (which she built) is where she is currently living)… Rosi has only be able to afford one laborer off and on since starting at the beginning of the summer, because of this her and her girls have been the assisting laborers, missing school many days and also gone with out food many times, due to the cost of paying their worker. Compared to others in the program (who have been able to afford two or more workers), Rosi is severely behind, the government has threatened that if she doesn’t finish by mid September, they will sue for the materials given to her, meaning she will lose her house and lot… We, at El Jordan and her home Church, have helped as much as we can, but now we ask you…

Even though Rosali has hit bottom many times, she can see when God has brought her the “armies” she has needed in this journey. She has around $700 US more of costs (if she connects lights and water), for things like doors, windows, labor, finishing details etc… if you would love to help encourage Rosi on her journey to providing her daughters with a safe home, there are many ways you can do this. You can: 1) donate towards a food basket for Rosi’s family 2) donate towards building materials 3) donate towards labor 4) PRAY… if only there was space to write out all the requests that God has already answered you would be amazed, even teary… so please pray, pray for Rosi and her girls (Isamara, Tamara, Lizandra and Luciana).

Called to Be Hands & Feet

"Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ Matthew 25: 34-40
