Thank you so much for praying for Ruth… I went to see her on Monday at noon to see how the surgery had gone… and they hadn’t touched her because they didn’t see any money… They were requiring that the majority of the operation be paid for BEFORE surgery happened… The doctors were pressuring that she find money because the more time passed, the more danger there was for the infection to continue spreading… The doctors had decided to first do a thorough cleaning under general anesthetic to see how everything was and to cut out any dead matter or infection… Ruth nor her family had much money… on the Sunday when they took Ruth into emergency, they had to sell their propane tank (that they use for their stove)… Today when the nurses sent Ruth’s boyfriend out with a prescription saying that it was urgent, Ronald came back wearing plastic sandals… he had sold his shoes to buy the medicines…
Anyhow… on Monday morning I got an e-mail from someone who had unexpectedly received a check in the mail… and they were going to send that to help Ruth with her medical bills… (Thank You… you know who you are!!!!!!!!) …so I was able to give that to Ruth… which was enough for the doctors to go ahead with surgery…
While Ronald was waiting for Ruth to get out of surgery, he heard over the intercom an emergency call for a certain doctor to go to the surgery room… Later when the doctors came out to talk with Ruth’s family, they told Ronald that Ruth had gone into cardiac arrest… When Ruth got out of jail I took her a couple times to a cardiologist… so I don’t know if it had something to do with that… because they mentioned she was allergic to some of the anesthetic or medicine they used…
The doctors are very happy with how the foot cleaned up… they said that the tendons were all intact and things looked positive for a good recovery although she needs to take it easy for a while…
Thank you so much for praying… Ruth knows that you were praying… and she sends her thanks as well…
